Sunday Mornings
10:00 a.m.- GAP Bible Fellowship
The 5th & 6th grade Sunday school meets in the GAP room in the balcony of Main Street's sanctuary. Our preteens use the engaging GRAPPLE preteen curriculum and have the ability to connect throughout the week with their very own safe and secure online community, which follows through on topics covered on Sunday mornings.

11:00 a.
m.- SPLIT! (Servant Preteen Leaders-In-Training)
Preteens have three options during the 11:00 service. They are welcome to continue with elementary Promiseland, where they are given additional
responsibilities as helpers. Some preteens choose to attend the worship service in the sanctuary with their families. Another option that is unique to preteens, is the opportunity to serve as shepherds in the preschool worship service in ToT Town (Preschool Promiseland). This option requires preteens to attend a training session and sign an accountability agreement.
Fusion
GAP kids are ready to take on new and exciting challenges. Throughout the year, special "Fusion" events are planned to give preteens the chance to dive deeper into their Christian walk. Some past events have included:
DIVE DEEP- A local missions retreat during Martin Luther King weekend where students assisted a widow through manual labor and worked at the Storehouse (a Christian outreach ministry and thrift store).
Annual Chili Cook-Off- The annual fundraiser for GAP special events. Students prepare, set up and run this fun church-wide supper.
Jumping Beans Lock-In- GAP kids were encouraged to invite their unchurched friends to this high energy night of fun and games.
Apartment Mission Project- Preteens planned, prepared, rehearsed and executed a highly successful afternoon of outreach to young children at an Austin housing project.

Summer Fun!
Summer months are a busy time for our children's ministry. 5th & 6th graders are always invited to all children's ministry events throughout the summer. However, there are 2 major events planned specifically for preteens.

AMP IT UP!
A week of Vacation Bible School designed for 5th & 6th graders. Preteens meet each morning at "The Rock" (Main Street's youth building) for Bible study, worship, games and snacks. Afternoons are for cruising around Central Texas in a big, yellow bus for fun adventures.
Preteen Overnight Camp
Preteens are at a great age to spend a few nights away from home. Each summer, Main Street registers for a Monday-Thursday session of preteen camp at Highland Lakes Camp and Conference Center. At Highland Lakes Preteen Camp, kids experience creative Bible studies, high-energy worship celebrations, small group discussions, guided quiet times, and age-appropriate outdoor activities all to ensure an unforgettable camp experience directed toward helping preteens grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
